Deposition Methods - As the name implies these systems deposit material to form the model or mould. They still rely on the slice or layer CAD information.

• Fused Deposition Manufacture (FDM)
• Multi-jet manufacture (MJM)
• Direct Shell Production Casting (DSPC)

All the above systems share the same principal in that an STL file of the computer generated model is sliced into layers. The information of each layer is transferred to the processing head of the machine and the shape generated, the build process will depend on the material used and the preferred method of curing, ultra violet light, heat, chemical.
